Continuity Editing

^ The 180 degree rule.

Continuity editing, is editing made invisible to engage the audience. There are different techniques of continity editing. Firsty there's the "180 degree rule". This is where the camera stays on one side of the two actors having a convosation. This is so the eye line matches and doesnt look off.

The second technique is match on action. This is where two shots are made of  the same action but from a different angle. For example, the first shot could be taken of somebody walking through a door, the second shot could be them walking through the door entering the new room.
